Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sports Car 2011
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Making Waves Around The World
Volkswagen's Buggatti Automobiles S.A.S. has recently announced that by the end of February it would have delivered 60 Bugatti Veyron 16.4s. Such announcement has resulted to the over production of the Bugatti Veyron.
The production of the Bugatti Veyron was started in Alsatian Molshiem at the later part of 2005 while the very first delivery was made in March of 2006. It was also last year that the Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. has been able to produce 50 units. The interesting part about the Bugatti Veyron is the fact that it's an entirely new product and there are no existing Volkswagen parts like for instance a Volkswagen thermostats that is available for the Bugatti and yet orders are coming in at an amazing volume.
In December of 2003, Dr. Thomas Bscher, the newly appointed president of the company was given the responsibility of managing Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. Aside from Dr. Bscher, Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber was also appointed as technical director and manager of Bugatti Engineering. The whole Bugatti project was reassessed and a new schedule for the completion date of the super sports car was made.
The production of the Bugatti Veyron has been limited to a maximum of 300 units. The number of the first Bugatti produced only reached 50 units but today Bugatti was able to increase its annual production and hasten delivery time.
According to Dr. Thomas Bscher at the International Geneva Motor Show, "In 2007 we are planning to increase the production of the Bugatti Veyron, because the order entry for the Veyron is getting close to 140 and we wouldn't want our customers to have to wait longer for their Bugatti." He also added, "It is not expected that most of the orders come from the US; traditionally the most important market for luxury vehicles. 30% of the 140 contracts received up to now with a down payment of EUR 300, 000, which is the condition for the production of the vehicle to start, come from the United States. This means that that is where - on a country basis- up to now most of the Bugatti Veyron have been delivered."
The biggest volume of the orders in Europe comes from Germany and England which are two of the most important markets for luxury cars outside US. The Bugatti Veyron has also created interest in Middle Eastern countries and the deliveries made to Arab countries highlight the pleasant sales trend of this unique vehicle.
