Gumpert Apollo

The Gumpert Apollo is the perfect synthesis between road vehicle and racing car. It exceeds all expectations with its passion and maximum driving fun. 650 HP, up to 360 km/h top-speed and an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds make it a full-blooded super sports car to which there is no alternative. The complete package is available at a cost-performance ratio unequalled in this exclusive vehicle class.
The production process is the one part of the manufacture philosophy in which exclusivity and precision are paramount to speed. Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur associates the term ‚manufacture' with it's the commitment to achieve quality and luxury by means of craftsmanship and hand-made production.
Roland Gumpert, founder, managing director and the driving force behind Sportwagenmanufaktur, has created a manufacturing environment that combines engineering excellence with a broad automotive and racing competence. Experts within the motorsports scene are all familiar with the name Gumpert: In the mid 1970s, the long-standing Audi manager was the driving force behind the development of the four-wheel drive "Iltis", the original predecessor of today's "Quattro". In 1979 he not only succeeded in preparing the gnarled four-wheel drive "Iltis" for the Paris-Dakar rally, but also achieved victory. In the years that followed under his management, Audi Sport won a total of 25 World Rally Championship races and was the 4-time winner of the World Rally Championship. Gumpert's professional success is distinguished by his ability to combine innovative ideas with proven technology effectively and successfully.
A team of automotive and motor sports specialists joined forces to pool their enthusiasm and energy into developing and creating the Gumpert Apollo. Their abilities create the space for the finest workmanship and utmost individuality, with the use of high-tech processes and integration of proven standard components securing the technical basis.
With the Gumpert Apollo we are providing a select clientele of ambitious sports drivers and car enthusiasts with the opportunity of experiencing the unique synergy between hand-made high-end components optimised for performance on the road and the track, and of distinguishing themselves from the remainder of the world of sports cars. Up to 100 vehicles will leave the factory each year - just enough to ensure that these exceptional vehicles retain their exclusive status.
Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur is an independent, privately financed company. The financial stability of the company is being secured by well-known investors. Their operative commitment will also promote the international sales and distribution of Gumpert Apollo.
The challenge was to develop an exceptional design that combined the extreme aerodynamic requirements of a performance-oriented, purist super sports car with the aesthetic design of an exclusive vehicle. We wanted to achieve the perfect synthesis of design and function. Without compromising. And we have succeeded with Gumpert Apollo:
Its silhouette, optimised in numerous wind tunnel tests, reflects its by far superior capabilities.
In its profile, the Gumpert Apollo dynamic appearance is further enhanced by its dimensions (4.46 m length, almost 2 m width and 1.24 m height) and its streamlined, long and wide shoulder lines. The mid-engine layout is emphasised by the cockpit, which is clearly located toward the front of the vehicle, and the long wheel base; both factors ensure optimum driving qualities. Massive air inlets and outlets in the front and on the side in front of and behind the doors leave no doubt about its potency. Above all, though, they supply the two turbo-chargers and the high-performance braking system with enough fresh air to ensure optimum operation for the duration of a race. The high-set air intake for the engine is reminiscent of Formula 1 vehicles and emphasises Gumpert Apollo racing character. The dominant rear provides a view of the diffuser and the underbody, encased completely in carbon, - which, combined with the front diffuser and flow channels, achieves an exceptionally high negative lift for a road vehicle.
Gumpert Apollo leaves a lasting impression on anyone who sees it: It symbolises unusual power, dynamism and sportiness. It reflects above-average performance capability paired with timeless elegance, and even when it is not moving, shows that the design can only adhere to function: driving dynamics.
The secret of Gumpert Apollo is an innovative design concept from racing car engineering. The base and symbolic backbone of Gumpert Apollo consists a round tube frame made of top-quality and highly stable chrome-molybdenum-steel with an integrated monocoque safety cell made of high quality carbon fibre screwed directly onto the frame. The 161 kg (355 lbs.) construction design is so effective, so torsion proof and bend resistant that it complies with both the specifications of the European MOT approval and the international manufacture specifications of motor sports (see annex J of the FIA regulations). Gumpert Apollo succeeds in combining low weight with the rigidity of a racing car, finest driving dynamics and maximum safety. The Gumpert Apollo is one of the safest and most agile vehicles of its class.

GTA Car

GTA Motor´s design department , directed by Sento Pallardó, has strived to create an unique automobile that does not resemble other cars in any way. In this way, a preliminary design has been evolving until the present-day, which has succeeded in combining sportsmanship, elegance and exclusivity in a single concept. In other words, a very different style to that wich currently exists in the international automobile scene.

One of Spano´s main distinguishing characteristics lies in its lateral view, where the doors fit perfectly into the air intakes, wich apart from performing an aerodynamic function, refrigerate elements such as oil coolers, power-assisted steering and brakes, among others. Its design is original, never seen to date, this being yet another distinguishing mark of Concept. As in all true sports cars, the doors have not doorframes.

Access to the interior is accomplished by pressing the GTA logotype, rendering it, a more elegant design without the traditional handles.

In its frontal view affords it with a strong personality along with its two large lateral air intakes nd its convex bonnet, completed with an aerodynamic streamlining zone to facilitate the air flow, providing it with an athletic look.

At the rear, the design departament has attempted to create the best way to channel the air that flows under the car.The resulting effect is a rear design with plenty of character, marked by the use of glass, wich has small openings that perform a refrigeration function for the engine. The wing fits perfectly into the design with under air channelling, while the two air intakes and the twin exhaust system emphasise the vehicle´s sport
character. There is a rear barrel to channel air and to improve the aerodynamic load.

The design for the wing mirrors has been a framework with carbon fibre finished with a wing-like airm, built in aeronautical mechanised aluminium.

The large glazed surface, affords the vehicle a strong quality, which is another of its distinguishing traits. The vehicle has a patented system of interior lighting and liquid crystal shading and the degree if light required inside may be regulated. Its completely novel sun visors are set into the glass and boast the same technology.

The electrically operated windows have been made according to the lastest technology, in such a way that the tracks are maintenance free and work problem free at various temperature.

The wheels, in 19" at the front and 20" at the rear, are characterised by their angular shape. They have been designed specifically for this model. Their design is exclusive for this car with offers a continuousness effect, with the chassis. There is a flat exterior part that perfoms an aerodynamical function, offering greater resistance and involving less weight.

Interior Design

The interior design has been one of the best kept secrets of the project. High quality materials such as leather and carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium have been used. Ample space is another of its characteristics and a person over 2 meters in height can be seated without problems.

The design of the dashboard feigns the lateral part of the car, and provides the interior wich much character. The instrument panel is distinguished by an LCD screen, wich can be personalised according to the customer´s
requiremens and provides all the necessary information. The steering wheel is made out of carbon sportsmanship of this vehicle. A joystick is located behind the steering wheel to operate elements such as lights wipers and
indicators.

One of Spano´s innovations is that it has no central rear-view mirror, rather a rear camera that projects on to an LCD screen which is perfectly located on the dashboard. It also has a large angular camera to facilitate parking manoeuvres. This camera automatically connects after locking the rear gear. The interior lights also use LED technology.

The GTA has two boots, one 100 litre one at the front and one 200 litre one at the rear, wich are certainly not out of place for an automobile of such characteristics. The front boot has a reverse opening system to make the
task of entering luggage easier.

There are also two glove compartments, one located on the co-driver´s side and the other smaller one in the centre compartment. It also has practical compartments in both doors.

The interior colours range varies according to the customer´s preferences.

Equipment

Quality and elegance are the main characteristics of the GTA interior design
which is also fully equipped.

• Sport seats
• Electronically regulating seats, with a heating and refrigeration system
• Leather trimmings with GTA anagrams
• ABS
• Wheel driving Control

Engine

GTA has developed a special engine for this car, and has opted for a V10, 8,3 litre engine placed in a longitudinal rear position. It has 780 horsepower and 920 Nw torque. As an extra option, the Concept is also available in a Bioethanol version, wich increases the power to 840 hp.

The GTA technicians have worked hard to enhance the compressor, so that GTA achieves amazing performances, at a top speed of over 350 km/h with acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h in under threee seconds. These figures place it directly among the five fastest cars commercialised in the world. The precision of the engine´s control unit helps the engine to offer and increase in power progresively under all circumstances.

Spano also has an electronic power control system, provided according to customer´s wishes, which regulates power from a minimum of 450 cv to the maximum power.

The gearbox is available in three options, all of wich have seven gears: automatically sequential or automatically sequential with a paddle shift steering wheel or manual in H.

GMC Used Cars - The Jimmy

GMC used cars like the Jimmy were a huge hit in the SUV market for over 20 years until its demise in 2005. The General Motors Corporation had a strangle hold on the small compact SUV market and basically controlled it until the end of this particular segment of the automobile market place. These were a very simple and cheap SUV to build for General Motors and therefore a very profitable automobile line for the big motor company. So when I decided to do some research on this vehicle, I decided to do the years from the mid 1990's to 2005.
GMC Jimmy used cars:
The Jimmy had a nice sporty look to it; you could get them in a two or four door SUV. I wouldn't say they were too spacious but could seat 4 people comfortably and had good towing capacity. The interior looks like a basic GMC Seirra pick-up truck. It comes standard with an AM/FM stereo, power steering, A/C and CD player depending on what year it was made.
I could only find one statistic for fuel economy for the GMC Jimmy. The fuel rating for the Jimmy was 15-litre, per 100km for city driving and 11-litre, per 100km for highway driving. This statistic was based on the all-wheel drive and as you can see it basically has the fuel consumption of one General Motors regular pick-up trucks.
GMC used cars like the Jimmy had a very reliable engine for most years, but I did come across some information to stay away from models that came from the year 1995. The reason why i say this is because General Motors in 1996 made changes to a lot of the different engine parts and this made it harder to find parts for models built before that year. The GMC Jimmy basically kept the same engine for all those years; it had a V6, 4.3-litre engine, which produced 190 horsepower, with 260 pounds, per feet, of torque.
Let's take a look at the pros and cons of buying a Jimmy as a use vehicle:
1- A top consumer organization on the web suggests staying away from this vehicle because it's plagued with poor dependability.
2- There are problems with the transmission.
3- The brakes apparently wear down fast.
4- The alternator fails over 100,000 kilometres in driving.
These are just a few to mention.
Overall there are a lot problems with this truck and as i mentions before, this is a simple truck that General Motors put together and that is why reliability as a used vehicle is poor.
If you're Canadian and looking to find great savings in GMC used cars please check out YouPaidWhat.ca, they provide Canadians with an alternative option in buying American used cars for sale. With the Canadian dollar being so high, American GMC Jimmy used cars are much cheaper than ones sold in Canada.

Gemballa Porsche Wallpapers & Info

Porsche Carrera GT, one of the finest sports supercars, had a limited series production of roughly 1380 models. Owners of these completely sold-out vehicles, GEMBALLA gives the chance to top this exclusiveness. The Porsche customizing specialists of Leonberg, Germany transforms the Carrera GT into the GEMBALLA Mirage GT; offered in an extremly limited series of only 25 models. More than half of this series is already sold. Customers including several prominent ones, place their trust in the technical expertise of GEMBALLA assuring unquestionable singular uniqueness of their Mirage GT.

One thing is quite certain; a Mirage GT driver will find no better individualization anywhere. But GEMBALLA not only offers its Carrera GT-conversion on an extremely limited scale of 25 exemplars. Over and above this, every Mirage GT looks different. First of all, this is because no vehicle comes in the same colour. GEMBALLA here of course follows individual customer preferences. A well-known professional soccer player, for example, chose black with extravagant glitter finish. Secondly, the Mirage GT’s interior is uniquely distinguished as well. GEMBALLA made certain that the interior components such as carbon parts and leather are always furnished in different varied combinations. Eleven Mirage GTs have already been customized by GEMBALLA. Further vehicles are currently under modification. Those who would like to order and savour the exclusivity of a high-tech products, must hurry!

The Carrera GT engine is a dream. A meaty 5.7-litre V10 boasting 612 horsepower. What more could one want? More power of course! GEMBALLA operates on the same principle as racing drivers: “You can never have too much power”. By modifying the engine management electronics, GEMBALLA has been able to squeeze out a further 40 bhp of power and 20 Nm more torque for the V10, slicing off 0.1 seconds off the time it takes to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The fully stainless steel exhaust system now resounds through four tail pipes instead of the standard two. GEMBALLA has positioned the two extra tail pipes where the reverse and fog warning lamps used to be. The tuning specialist has relocated the two lamps to beneath the rear diffuser.

With the GEMBALLA AERO-CONCEPT, the Mirage GT looks like it is planning to enter the Le Mans 24-hour race. The most conspicuous change to the front are the additional air intakes on the new front spoiler. In addition, GEMBALLA embellished the component with a spoiler lip. The bonnet has also been replaced. In the area between the wheel housing and door GEMBALLA has replaced the standard side panels with its own mudguards, with reshaped openings which blend harmoniously with the original design. Down below, new side skirts lend the vehicle a muscular line. They also come with a cooling vent for the breaks at the rear. One thing is certain! The racing look is enhanced by the new rear skirt, with its aerodynamically optimised mid section for more downforce on the rear axle. GEMBALLA´s AERO-CONCEPT considerably increases the air stream through the car´s body, which is the pre-condition for the cooling of the next power upgrade to 800 hp currently being in preparation.

The lion’s share of the extra downforce over the production-line vehicle is due to the mighty GEMBALLA rear wing that adorns the rear of the car. It comes with an electronically controlled flap in the middle, which snaps up at speeds of up to 120 km/h to increase downforce in curves and integrates itself again smoothly into the rear wing structure above 120 km/h. The increase in downforce is approx. 30 kg at the front axle and up to 85 kg at the rear axle. The roof line of the GEMBALLA Mirage GT also starkly differs from the standard Carrera GT. The front section of an airbox has been integrated into the new GEMBALLA hardtop. This ends in an air duct that runs along the back of the tailgate installed by GEMBALLA and supplies the power-enhanced V10-engine with more air to breathe.

With the GEMBALLA AERO CONCEPT, the Mirage GT fits perfectly into the starting line-up of any FIA-GT race. Not least also because of the materials used by GEMBALLA – all parts of the body of the Mirage GT are made of carbon fibre; a material common in the world of racing.
